Volleyball
Last week a group of girls from years 7 and 8 went to Whangarei to play Volleyball. I was part of the group of girls who went to represent not only the school but Jesus in Whangarei. I had heaps of fun playing volleyball and I think everyone else really enjoyed it too. We won 3 games and lost one game to Te Kapehu Whetu (TKW). I would like to thank Komene Marino for training us when we had the time and Whaea Matekino Rakete for supporting and transporting us to Whangarei to play. I look forward to hopefully play in a few more weeks in a boys and girls tournament.
Rippa Rugby
Today a group of students, including me, went over to the Kaikohe rugby club to play Rippa Rugby. We won all of our games today although we had to verse two younger teams. I had a lot of fun today especially because I actually got the chance to run and try.
How are babies made in the womb?
This is the mitosis cycle model that Davalamayne, Te Ataahua, and I have worked on. Before this, we had to learn about each stage of the mitosis cycle. I liked that our model had to be made big but I dislike that we weren't able to make it 3D. I think scientists make models of this kind of stuff so that they can see what the microscopic cells look like in detail. I think our team worked great together because we were able to finish our project in an hour. Here are a few photos of our model/project:
